    Urogynecology is a surgical sub-specialty of urology and gynecology. The field of urogynaecology has expanded dramatically over the past decade with the advent of a number of new medical and surgical treatment modalities. The evidence base on pelvic floor dysfunction has also grown extensively. This multicontributor text, authored by a multi-disciplinary team of experts from around South Africa, concisely summarizes the most up-to-date concepts and management strategies in urogynaecology.
