This is a pressing concern within the field of environmental health.

Research about climate change:
Over the years, there have been a number of reliable scientific reports about climate change, ranging from individual research studies in journals, to comprehensive assessments of risk conducted by the US government, to international reports under the auspices of the UN. You might find it beneficial to browse through these resources.
USA, 2024: The Fifth National Climate Assessment.
Under the United Nations: The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (which has issued a number of reports).
American Public Health Association: Hub for climate, health, and equity.
These resources offer a glimpse of the variety of effects of climate change on health, including
- Heat-related illness
- Spread of vectors (mosquitoes, ticks, etc.) and infectious diseases
- Air pollution and particulate matter
- Water-borne diseases
- Changes in the food supply
- Extreme weather and disasters (floods, fires, storms, etc.)
- Mental health effects
