    The Role of Nutrients in Health, Microbiome, Quality of Life

    Watch the four videos. I have each one aimed at a question, but they are there to encourage thought and your own perspective. There is a lot of systems that get affected by diet. I am a board member of the Medical Fitness Education Foundation and I have educational products I hope to launch in this area that include how to fight chronic diseases with exercise and nutrition.

    I personally am a strong believer in the various effects of nutrition on our short term and long term health. However, I am not as strict or restrictive as many in my field are. I am not that concerned with each and everything I put in my body and I do many things that are likely not good for my health, such as alcohol consumption, and I like my desserts every so often . I do use supplements, but not as regularly as I should, and I believe they only do "some" good and are definitely not a cure or even as effective as getting nutrients through food. They are likely a good insurance policy to certain deficiencies, but others in my industry swear by supplements and spend a lot of money on them.
