    There are various recommendations for lipid intake, depending on your age, activity level, and risk of certain health conditions. In this section, we will focus on both the quantity and the quality of lipids to consider when planning a healthy diet. Remember that most foods contain all macronutrients, including some carbohydrates, some protein, and some fat, just as our dietary intake should include all three macronutrients. Oil is one example of a food that is 100% fat. For this reason, we should be mindful how much (portion) fits into our ideal food plan, as well as which type (food source and level of processing) of oil may be best for our health. This section provides an opportunity to learn the terminology, science, and current nutrition recommendations.
