While the mammary glands are not part of the female reproductive tract, it is a tissue integral to the reproductive biology of the female. Learning histology of the female reproductive system can be difficult as tissues can change in morphology in response to hormonal stimulation. But understanding the structure of the tissue greatly assists in understanding the estrus cycle in domestic animals.
