Answer Key to Chapter 3 Learning Activities

1. To safely obtain an individual’s blood pressure, it is important to note the size of the patient to select the appropriate blood pressure cuff size. Additionally, it is important to note if the patient has an limb restrictions such as an injury, mastectomy, lymph node removal, fistula placement, etc. Blood pressures should not be taken in any limb with a potential restriction.
