Valerie J. Bugosh, MSN, RN, CNE
- Valerie Bugosh graduated from Harrisburg Area Community College with her Associate of Arts degree in Nursing. She worked in a long-term care facility, taught CNA classes, and was the staff development nurse. She also worked as a staff and charge nurse on a cardiac telemetry unit, and then became a home health nurse. Val returned to school and earned her BSN and MSN in Nursing Education at Millersville University. She has taught health assessment, nursing fundamentals, and med-surg acute care clinicals at HACC for 15 years. Val has also co-led cultural immersion learning experiences for nursing students to Kenya, Haiti, and Guatemala.
Leisa E. McAlicher, MSN, RN, CRNP
- Leisa McAlicher graduated from Messiah College with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and then earned her MSN and completed her CRNP at Widener University. She has been teaching at HACC for the past 22 years.
Katherine Zaharchuk, MSN, RN, CNE
- Kathy Zaharchuk graduated from Reading Area Community College with an Associate in Arts in Nursing and practiced in the fields of long-term care, medical/surgical, IV therapy, medical oncology, and cancer clinical trials. She earned a BA and BSN from Kutztown University and MSN at Walden University. She has taught for practical nursing, medical assisting, and RN to BSN programs. She is in the dissertation phase of her Ph.D. in Nursing Education and has been teaching at HACC for 4 1/2 years.
