Proper injection techniques, equipment handling, and infection control measures are crucial to prevent complications and ensure patient safety. This route can be painful for the patient and is associated with a higher risk of injury to the patient than other routes of administration. Do not attempt any parenteral administration unless you are confident that you have mastered the proper techniques for safe administration.
