- Put on the Personal Protection Equipment (PPE): gloves and mask (if available).
- Obtain the dissecting equipment: dissecting tray, scalpels, and metal probe.
- Obtain a sheep brain from the instructor and bring it back to the work station.
- Watch the sheep brain dissection demonstration and pay close attention to safety and dissecting instruction.
- Discard all dissected tissue in the biohazard bin.
- Discard paper towel in the regular trash can.
- Clean, disinfect, and dry all dissecting equipment. Return the equipment to its proper storage location.
- Disinfect the work station.
- Discard gloves in the regular trash can.
Structures to be labeled
Take pictures of the following surfaces of the sheep brain as you do the dissection. You should label the structures listed under each surface on your pictures. Then upload your labeled pictures to Canvas as part of the assignment. There are a total of 30 structures to be labeled.
