    Sheep Heart Dissection Instructions

    1. Put on the Personal Protection Equipment (PPE): gloves and mask (if available).
    2. Obtain the dissecting equipment: dissecting tray, scalpels, scissors, and metal probe.
    3. Obtain a sheep heart from the instructor and bring it back to the work station.
    4. Watch the sheep heart dissection demonstration and pay close attention to safety and dissecting instruction.
    5. Discard all dissected tissue in the biohazard bin.
    6. Discard paper towel in the regular trash can.
    7. Clean, disinfect, and dry all dissecting equipment. Return the equipment to its proper storage location.
    8. Disinfect the work station.
    9. Discard gloves in the regular trash can.
