Fluid Physiology (Brandis)

( \newcommand{\kernel}{\mathrm{null}\,}\)

The notes aim to develop understanding from introductory concepts about acids and bases, through a discussion of acid-base disorders, then to the ability to be able to interpret acid-base results in actual patients. The discussion of acid-base physiology outlined in most of this book is the "traditional" empirical approach. The concepts and explanations of this approach are still the most common way that acid-base physiology is taught and understood by many clinicians.
